Srinagar, Aug 08 (KNO): A customer from Srinagar, who had bought Hyundai’s Creta car, is being allegedly ignored by the company when he tried to approach the Hyundai officials for a genuine damage claim as promised by the officials of the company at the time of purchase of the vehicle. Zubair Ahmed, a resident of Srinagar, purchased a Creta car from Hyundai that however, met with an accident at Awantipore area of Pulwama a few months back. Zubair’s brother, who was driving the car, however, had a miraculous escape but the car suffered immense damage. “At the time of accident, none of the air-bags came out. Other features as promised by the company at the time I purchased the vehicle, didn’t work as well. All the assurances proved futile and were just on papers,” Zubair told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) He alleged that the Creta bearing registration number JK01H-0565 got damaged almost fully after which he met the concerned officials at Hyundai Company’s Tengpora, Srinagar office, where he was continuously dodged over one or the other pretext. “I demanded the damage claim as promised by the company,” Zubair said, and in lieu company is playing hide and seek with me. Zubair said that prior to buying the car, company claimed about the airbags and other safety features available in the car but all turned a hoax and none of the features worked. “I have been repeatedly meeting the officials at Hyundai showroom but what get is lame excuses. Today I was told that no claim can be given, which is total injustice with me as a customer of Hyundai. The Hyundai officials told me to take the car from the showroom in the same condition. This is how Hyundai treats its customers,” Zubair alleged. In a reported prepared by the police about the damage of the car, there is a clear mention that air-bags didn’t come out at the time of accident. Same has been endorsed by the J&K State Road Transport Corporation. “I am left with the no option other than to approach the court and sue the Hyundai company for their cheating,” a visibly upset Zubair said. Repeated attempts to reach out to concerned officials of Hyundai didn’t fructify—(KNO)
